This is not garden styling. It is not lawn maintenance. It is not a quick fix with a bag of mulch and a prayer. This is ecological design — thoughtful, layered, alive — rooted in native plants and a deep love for this Hill Country land.
Every project is different. Every piece of land has its own story, its own needs, its own wild potential waiting to be coaxed forward. I come to listen first. Then we get to work.
(And no — I don't do lawns. Life is too short and the pollinators need us. 🌿)
Ecological Landscape Design
A landscape should belong to the land it grows from.
We begin with what is already here — soil, water, existing trees and habitat, sun, shade and season — and then consider how you want to live within it.
From a single garden to a whole property, native and well-adapted plants, water-wise design, habitat, pathways and gathering spaces are layered together to create a landscape that is beautiful, resilient and alive.
This isn't about imposing a garden onto the land. It's about listening first and creating something that belongs.
And you are not simply handed a design — you become part of its stewardship.
New Builds + Living Landscapes
A new home doesn't mean a blank slate. The land is already alive.
Soil, existing trees, water, wildlife, sun and slope are already part of the story. By bringing landscape thinking into the process early, we can work with what is already there rather than trying to repair what is lost later.
From arrival and shade to rain gardens, native planting, habitat and outdoor spaces, we create a landscape that allows the home to settle naturally into its surroundings.
The home may be new. The land is not.
Pocket Prairies + Rewilding
A little beautiful rebellion, right outside your door.
Native grasses, wildflowers and layered plantings bring movement back to the land — feeding pollinators, sheltering wildlife and restoring pieces of what once grew here before we tidied it into submission.
Rewilding doesn't require acres. A pocket prairie, a former lawn, a forgotten corner or the edges of a property can all become part of a larger living network.
It takes a little patience. Wild landscapes arrive in their own time.
We simply give them somewhere to begin.

How it begins
Most people find me through our local plant nursery or a past steward who sent them my way. I don't advertise. I believe in word of mouth — in trust passed hand to hand like a good seed.
We begin with a conversation. About your land, what you love, what you want to protect, and what you hope to invite in. Then we walk the land together — looking at the light, the soil, the slope, the water, and the life already happening there.
From there, we decide what comes next. Sometimes it's a full landscape design. Sometimes it's a smaller place to begin.
When the work calls for it, I bring in trusted hands — but the design, the plant knowledge and the relationship remain personal.
This isn't a transaction. It's the beginning of stewardship.
